About Us
We have been a family run business since 1921. The business is now going into its fourth generation. George Ballard first started the business in 1921 with the butchers shop and abattoir to which it was called George Ballard. This made us the 6th Butchers in the village at the time.
His son Ken Ballard then took it over in 1964, which is then when we became Ken Ballards Butcher. Ken then turned the Business into a limited company in 1985 making us, as we are know today, Ken Ballard Ltd.
Kenโs son, Ian Ballard, joined the team subsequently, and is still here to this day working along side his son, Matthew, making it 4 generations.

Enjoy our wide selection of products and cut meats. We have an excellent reputation as first quality butchers gained over many generations of experence and reputation.
We support local people by buying their animals like North Ashford School and Princess Christian Farm.
We love work with Princess Christian Farm which is a charity supporting People with learning and/or physical disabilities. They are situated in Hildenborough and have open days throughout the year on the farm where people can see all the hard work the team and young adults have been doing.
